<p>There are millions of people across the world who suffer from such sudden attacks. Many can experience such attacks suddenly, since they have genes associated with anxiety disorders in their body. As per research statistics, it has been shown that children of people who have experienced such panic attacks,are 7 times more prone to experience such attacks when compared to others.</p>
<p>Scientific research about the causes for panic attacks depict that huge percentage of people who are prone to experience such attacks have a gene which is nicknamed as DUP25. Experts have found out that such gene develops proteins which has a major role in communication between the cells of central nervous system with one another. It is suspected that the imbalance in this gene causes the brain to become oversensitive and in turn leads to a anxiety attack in those who carry this gene.</p>

<p>As we then move from place to place, your anxious mind constantly produces these risk assessments based on your CURRENT location. It ALWAYS finds your symptoms to be the threat in that new environment and then it says, &#8220;when I am here, I am threatened &#8211; so RETREAT&#8221;. The next time you try to go to that location, the mind has already formed an &#8216;anchor&#8217; between it and danger and before you even get there, you feel anxious!</p>
<p><strong>The Facts</strong></p>
<p>About twice as many women than men report that they experience agoraphobia. Frequently, people report that the onset of their agoraphobia followed a stressful or traumatic event in their lives.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The most common age for agoraphobia to begin is when a person is in his/her mid to late 20&#8242;.</span></p>

<p>I won&#8217;t lie.</p>
<p>There are some days I would rather smash that alarm clock and crawl back inside myself before even thinking of dragging myself out of bed. These days don&#8217;t happen every day, but they happen enough. The days where I just don&#8217;t feel strong enough or tough enough, or brave enough to endure what&#8217;s to occur that day. Those days when I wish it could be just me. <strong>No responsibility, no children, no husband, no work to do, just me and my warm comforting bed.</strong></p>

<p>But even on &#8220;those&#8221; days I find the strength inside myself, that energy I don&#8217;t think I have to get out of bed, to awaken my children and begin the day. I get the big ones off to school, and then I simply sit down with the younger ones and cuddle.</p>
<p>And cuddle and hug and cuddle some more. We sit back and watch the shows they wanna watch. We eat snacks at hours much to early to be eating snacks. And we simply exist. I am sure my two youngest ones truly love these days. The days when mommy doesn&#8217;t really want to do anything, so she doesn&#8217;t do anything but cuddle and love them.</p>
<p><strong>And then, and always then, the realization kicks in that they need to be getting ready for school.</strong></p>
<p>They need to get dressed, they need a million things done all at once. But I do it. I get them ready for school, and wave goodbye to my little ones as they ride away on the school bus and wonder what to do with myself. I know what I should be doing with myself, things like working or cleaning or the million other things in my life that need doing, but I cannot bring myself to do it. So, I take a nap. And I wait for them to return. All 5 racing through the door and the house becomes alive again till the silence of night sets in and I can think once more.</p>
<p>Of course, like I said earlier, not all days are like this. There are the ones on the other end of the spectrum. The ones where mommy is in a manic mood and feels like peeling off her skin. The days where my mind races, my heart races and it doesn&#8217;t seem like I can get enough done. And I get an amazing amount of things done. And I am grateful for the day to end. And hopeful that night will bring sleep. And that even though I feel like I am going crazy, that maybe just maybe, the kids didn&#8217;t notice it today.</p>
<p><strong>And everyday continues on like this. Some days more then others.</strong> Other days not so much. Of course, in and amongst all this is my loving husband who somehow manages to keep some level of normalcy in my home, even when I don&#8217;t feel like I will ever be normal, or that my kids will ever even know what a &#8220;normal&#8221; mom is like. My loving husband who is always the first one to turn to me and say, it&#8217;s okay, take some time to you, take some time to simply go off and regain yourself. And often, with his love and support I do.</p>
<p><strong>I slip away to my room where I cry, or I scream or I simply pass out into oblivion because the stress of the day, the mood of the day has simply worn me too thin.</strong></p>
<p>But in the end I am happy. And so are they. Some days I am off, and simply want to love them to bits. Other days I am so busy hustling and bustling using up every ounce of energy I have, that I am sure they wish I would just stop moving if just for a moment.</p>
<p>Overall though, I wouldn&#8217;t change a thing. I am me, they are them, and we are a family. We are not the picture perfect family you see on television and probably never will be, but we&#8217;re a family none the less. <em>With 5 children, a father and a bipolar mother.</em></p>

<p>We all get in a rut, a bad mood, and here are five easy ways when you find that you are caught up in that mood for you to stop, and get out of that mood quickly. <p><strong>The first and maybe the most difficult for some is to get up and go exercise.</strong> I understand that it maybe difficult in the winter to go outside, but if you can even for ten minutes you can how you feel in an instant. If going outside is out of the question, then do 25 lunges each leg and find a bench or step and step up each leg 10 times each. Just working out for ten minutes at a time will give you the start to strength training and give you some health benefits.</p>
<p><strong>Second is getting a good night sleep.</strong> Stick to a schedule and don&#8217;t eat before bed, but if you are having trouble falling asleep sometimes a warm glass of milk will help calm you down to rest easier.</p>

<p>The effects of stress on the body include; restlessness, shortness of breath, headache, heart palpitations, stomach upsets, difficulty with decisions, mood swings, muscle tension, sweating, loose stools, disturbed sleep and irregular sleep patterns.</p>
<p>Some of the behavior patterns associated with stress include anger outbursts, an increase in smoking, crying, irritability, relationship problems, overeating, or eating when you&#8217;re not hungry. <strong>Stress affects the nervous system, causing reactions such as fight or flight, aggression or social withdrawal. </strong></p>
<p>Now that you can clearly see how the body responds to stress it will be much easier to identify when you are experiencing the effects of stress. You can take the steps needed to reduce or eliminate that stress. Keep in mind that sometimes stress can be just the catalyst needed for change.</p>
<p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Some things you can do to combat stress are:</span></em></p>
<p>1. Make sure that you get at least five hours of rest every night. Stay in bed without raising your head, even if you&#8217;re not sleeping. This is to keep your adrenal glands functioning well. Another way to assist your adrenals, is to invert your body every day for one or two minutes, even if it&#8217;s just bending over with your head lower than your hips.<br />
2. Take some time on a daily basis to do something you enjoy, no matter how small.<br />
3. Plan ahead, but be flexible if things don&#8217;t work out exactly as planned. Have a plan B and C.<br />
4. Procrastination creates stress, so don&#8217;t let it become a habit. Take action!<br />
5. Make a list of your priorities. Look at them every day first thing in the morning.<br />
6. Reward yourself for things done well.<br />
7. Talk to at least one or two of your favorite people daily.<br />
8. Know your emotional limits and take a break when you recognize their approach.<br />
9. Take a break in the middle of a job or situation, stretch your legs, go for a walk in the fresh air, get something to drink, or just leave.<br />
10. During your break, think about a moment in time when you felt relaxed. Take at least a minute or two to do this until you feel refreshed and stress free.<br />
11. Say at least two positive things about yourself for every negative. Think about your strengths and stop yourself from reflecting on past weaknesses or failures.<br />
12. Use a thought stopping technique when you start thinking about something negative or when you&#8217;re feeling angry or stressed out. Say to yourself, &#8220;No! That&#8217;s not true. I choose not to be offended, angry or worried.&#8221; (&#8220;I do not believe that about myself or another person&#8221;). Choose to forgive yourself, the other person, or even just take a deep breath. Choose an appropriate action and follow through.<br />
13. Ask in advance, if possible, for you to take time before responding or acting; or ask for it at the time. Give yourself permission to do these things!<br />
14. Give yourself permission to say &#8220;No&#8221; to things that will take up a lot of your time, or that are stressful, especially if it is something that will last over a long period of time.<br />
15. Manage your time so that you will not be in a rush, going from one thing to another.</p>
